FROM THE CHIPPER TO YOUR YARD
Free Wood & Wood Chips
Spruce up your garden, playground or walkways with a free delivery of recycled wood chips in Yakima.
Big R offers free wood chips to local residents. They work well in playgrounds, flower beds, trails and walking paths, and in plenty of other places around your property. Recycled chips spread nutrients into the ground as they decompose, which is good for your garden and the environment.
We can deliver a full load of wood chips to your location, inside our service area, at no cost. The chips come from tree removal and trimming jobs around Yakima, so there is only so much to go around.
Send a request and we put you on the waiting list. When your chips are ready, we let you know. The same list covers free wood, so tell us if you want wood, chips or both.
Wood chip FAQs
Two things worth reading before you sign up.
What type of wood will the "chips" consist of?
A load often consists of a combination of woods, most commonly pine, fir, elm, cottonwood, honey locust, birch tree, willow and others. We don't offer delivery of specific woods.
Are the woodchips filtered?
It is important to remember that these are FREE wood chips from a local tree removal or trimming, and thus these are not the same quality as wood chips you would pay for. They will likely contain leaves and small twigs/branches from final clean up of the jobsite that are too small to safely be processed by the wood chippers.
Get added to the waiting list
